A framework for intervention defined by the PJJ
The initiative ‘In the Shoes of a Victim’ is part of a broader program established by the victim support service to raise awareness among young people, particularly those who have committed offenses. This awareness-raising intervention aims to help young first-time offenders understand the impact of their actions on victims, in order to encourage responsibility and prevent reoffending.
France Victimes Martinique was invited to provide its expertise in victim support as part of a citizenship course. Our intervention aligns perfectly with our mission of informing and raising awareness. As participants in this action, we sought to enrich the PJJ’s educational program with our specific approach focused on the rights and needs of victims.
