Interactive workshops to raise awareness
During this awareness day, our team, composed of a legal expert, a psychologist, and a trainee lawyer, led several interactive workshops. The first workshop began with a brainstorming exercise, where the young participants were invited to define the terms ‘violence’ and ‘victim’ using a word cloud. This method initiated a collective reflection on these often misunderstood concepts.
After this introduction, our legal expert took over to explain the legal concepts associated with offences, such as the definition of an offence, types of harm and possible remedies for victims. The aim was to demystify the legal process and show young people the seriousness and legal consequences of their actions.
Next, our psychologist addressed the psychosocial consequences that victims endure. By explaining the trauma, anxieties, and the long path of recovery that victims often face, we sought to humanize the figure of the victim in the eyes of the young participants, helping them better understand the extent of the repercussions of their actions.
